Location
One of the most beautiful, quiet, and pristine beaches in Florida is just a short day’s drive from just about anywhere in the southeastern United States.
St. George Island sits out in the Gulf of Mexico, four miles off of the panhandle of Florida, just west of Florida’s big bend. Conveniently located, just an hour’s drive east of Panama City, or an hour and a half drive south of Tallahassee. It’s an easy trip from the Atlanta area.

Accommodations
This new, privately owned, vacation rental house, was completed in July, 2003. It is located near the island’s small commercial district in the Gulf Beaches neighborhood.
The home features 2 very comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, each has a queen size bed and its own private bath. There is also a convertible bed on the second floor with a half-bath. Accommodations are perfect for 1-6 people, plus pets.

Amenities
The Bird’s Nest is a perfect place to rest and unwind. This lovely home is directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico - with immediate access to the beach. A sunset view of the Gulf out the second floor kitchen window will delight the chef. Enjoy fresh-catch seafood on the upstairs screened-in deck, with a great view of the water.
If you feel like going out, restaurants, gourmet food shops, video rental, and specialty stores are all within easy walking distance.
The backyard is enclosed with a privacy fence where both adults, and children, can play safely. There’s also a charcoal barbecue grill and outdoor hot/cold shower.

There’s More!
Bird’s Nest has ice-cold central air, WIFI, free long-distance phone service, three TVs with cable/VCR/DVDs, and a CD/ radio for your use.
The gourmet eat-in kitchen is equipped with everything a cook might need. All linens are provided during your stay as is a stacked combo washer/dryer. There’re jetted tubs in each of the downstairs baths.
Books, magazines and games are provided, and feel free to bring your pet - Bird’s Nest, the beach, and the entire island, are pet friendly!
This lovely home is, and always has been, non-smoking - but feel free to puff away outdoors!
We must limit occupancy to four adults, and 2 children.

Florida Seafood Festival is the 1st weekend in November.

Chili Cook-Off is the 1st weekend in March.

Oyster Spat Festival is the 1st weekend in October.
